Iran Filmfest to host 114 countries

114 countries have submitted 3025 titles to the seventh edition of Iran’s International Urban Film Festival (Shahr International Film Festival).

3025 titles including 368 feature films, documentaries and animations, and 2657 short and half-length films are submitted to the festival.

India, the US, Spain, Brazil, France, Italy, Turkey, Russia, Britain, and Germany have so far submitted the most titles to the festival.

The aim of the festival is identifying remarkable features of Urban Life Patterns and innovative cinematic products. It also creates a platform for the exchange of ideas and experiences among world cities.

Selection board will announce the officially selected films on May 10.

The 7th edition of the festival is slated for summer 2019, in Tehran.
